Independent. Non-discretionary. Structurally focused.

We operate as an independent analysis and decision-support layer for investors where complexity, downside risk, and structural integrity are not optional considerations in complex or cross-border transactions. Discuss a mandate.

ABOUT US

Our objective is not to validate assumtions, it’s to test whether they hold under stress.

QLA works alongside family offices, private equity & credit managers, and institutional investors in transactions and structures where the consequences of getting it wrong are material. Our role is to provide structural clarity before capital is committed.

Mission & values

MISSION

To be a trusted partner to investors operating in complex and high-stakes environments; supporting capital decisions through independent analysis, structural insight, and disciplined execution.

We are engaged where standard processes are insufficient and where the cost of structural failure, in capital, governance, or credibility, is not recoverable.

VALUES

I Inspiring Leadership

We are engaged where decisions carry material consequences. We take that seriously, providing the clarity and conviction that allows clients to lead with confidence.

II Unyielding Excellence

We do not compress analysis to fit timelines, simplify conclusions to avoid discomfort, or deliver what a client wants to hear when the structure says otherwise. Standards are not negotiable.

III Respectful Candor

We show clients what the analysis shows, including when it contradicts the investment thesis. Directness delivered with clarity and respect is the only form of advice worth the mandate.

Our approach

We take a multi-domain view of risk; integrating financial, operational, technological, and governance factors into a single decision framework.

Most structural failures are not caused by a single factor.

They are caused by the intersection of several risks assessed in isolation; standard financial, commercial, legal reviews, but rarely looking at the complete picture under stress.

That is the gap QLA occupies.

Our story

From execution to structural intelligence.

2020

Founded

Client acquisition and commercial advisory

Founded as a client acquisition agency serving telecom and financial institutions; building early expertise in commercial structuring, institutional relationships, and transaction support across multiple markets.

2021

Expansion

Capital markets advisory

Expanded into capital raising advisory for mutual funds, pension funds, venture capital, and private equity vehicles, gaining direct exposure to institutional capital structures, investor due diligence processes, and cross-border transaction dynamics.

2024

Refocus

Strategic pivot to enhanced diligence & structuring

Focus sharpened toward independent enhanced diligence, complex transaction structuring, and decision support, driven by repeated observation that standard processes were systematically missing structural risk in cross-border mandates.

The gap was consistent. The market for independent structural intelligence was underserved.

2025 – …

Present

Strategic alliances, capability expansion, relocation

Expanded strategic alliances and specialist partnerships across private markets. Deepened capabilities in digital risk intelligence, sports and media assets, and institutional capital coordination.

Operational base relocating from Tallinn.

Long-term principal capital platform in development under House of Voolaid.

LEADERSHIP

Christopher Voolaid

Founding Partner at QLA
Chairman at Veritas Civitas: House of Voolaid

Christopher founded QLA in 2020, building from commercial and capital markets advisory into independent enhanced due diligence and structural transaction support, driven by repeated observation that standard processes were systematically missing structural risk in cross-border mandates.

He leads mandate selection, IC-level analysis, and strategic direction across QLA and the broader House of Voolaid platform, including advisory, proprietary investment, and long-term capital formation.

In December 2025, Christopher Voolaid reflects on the year’s execution, inflection points, and strategic direction.
